Before you make any bookings
1- Something to consider:
Your pets will need to be happy to be left at home alone occasionally. I will make sure they aren't left alone any more than is necessary and for no longer than 4 hours. I will need to leave the house to run my training classes and help out at The Canine Hub on Saturdays, Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays.
2- Meet And Greet:
This is an important step that will decide whether or not I am the right person to look after your pets and home. I will visit you and your pets at your home. This is to see how well your pets interact with me and whether they are comfortable with me in your home and, for dogs, out on walks. It is also a chance for you to get to know me and ask any questions. If everything goes well, you will then be able to make bookings for Daytime Visits or Longterm Stays. Further Meet and Greets may be needed if any pets are nervous or unsure of me. The number of Meet and Greets needed will be decided on an individual basis with your pets welfare at the heart of deciding what the right thing to do is. I will not cause any unnecessary stress for your pets, so will stop introductions if it is clear I am not the right person.
Making a booking
Bookings are taken on a first come first serve basis. You may enquire about what my availability is. Please note: I will not reserve or hold dates for "possible" visits or sits. Once you have made a booking, I will send you an invoice. You have 7 days from when the invoice was sent to you to send payment by bank transfer. Full payment will confirm your booking and reserve the dates we have agreed. If after the 7 days I haven't received payment, your booking will be cancelled and the dates made available to anyone.
Cancellation of a booking
If you give me 28 or more days notice that you need to cancel a visit or sit, you will receive a 75% refund of the total amount. If you give me 8 to 27 days notice, you will receive a 50% refund of the total amount. If you give me 7 or less days notice, you will receive a 25% refund of the total amount.
If in the very unlikely event that I have to cancel your booking. No matter how much notice I give, I will give you a full refund.
Shortening a booking
If you need to shorten a booking, for any hours/ days taken off of the original booking, they will be refunded at 75% if you give me 28 or more days notice, 50% for 8 to 27 days notice or 25% for 7 or less days notice.
Re-scheduling a booking
If you need to completely re-schedule a booking, as long as you do so within the 7 day window that you have upon receiving the invoice to make the payment, then cancellation rules will not apply. If you notify me after that 7 day window, then the cancellation rules apply.
Extending a booking
There are no guarantees that I can extend existing bookings. If you do need to extend a booking, please contact me and I will see what I can do. Any extensions will be worked out at the rates shown on the price list.
Procedure taken in case of any illness, accidents or injuries to your pets
If anything were to happen to your pets that needed veterinary treatment while they are in my care, these are the steps I will follow:
Any vets bills must be paid by you or your emergency contact.
Equipment and enclosures
Please ensure that:
Any equipment you provide for walking your dog is in good condition and suitable for use. I only use positive, force free methods of interacting with your pets so will only use equipment that follows my ethics (see home page):
Any toys, enrichment objects and scratching posts are safe and appropriate for your pets to use
Any litter trays and small animal/ bird housing and runs have been fully cleaned/ disinfected at least 2 days prior to me starting the sit and that there is enough litter, bedding and cleaning equipment
Any housing or runs are safe, secure and undamaged and any doors, locks/ bolts, detachable panels and hatches work as intended
There is enough food provided for all your pets to last the duration of the sit
If I have to buy any food, equipment etc for your pets during the sit, I will keep any receipts and send you an invoice when you get back home so you can repay them.
Medication and Grooming
I am happy to administer basic medication and do regular basic grooming if needed. I will need to witness that you have a reliable and force free way to give your pets their medication and that your pets are comfortable being groomed. This will be done during a meet and greet.
Upon paying for a booking, you are also agreeing to the above terms and conditions
